The Story

Built in the garage.
Built for the life
we deserved.

It started the way most good things do — quietly, after hours. Nights in the garage. Weekends at craft shows. Small woodwork pieces, wall art, home decor. Then furniture. Then during COVID, I looked at our basement and decided to build something real.

For 14 years I worked as a physical therapist. Good career. Steady paycheck. But woodworking was always there — a creative outlet, then a side income, then something I couldn't ignore anymore. In 2025, I went all in. I walked away from the career I knew and launched House of Hickory.

This business isn't just about beautiful rooms. It's about building the life I know my family deserves — and proving that betting on yourself is always worth it.

Every project gets my full attention. You're not handed off to a crew you've never met. You work with me — from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. That's not a selling point. That's just how I operate.
